The University of Florida sponsors over 160 scholarships and the UF college of pharmacy scholarship is one of them. UF College of Pharmacy is the pharmacy school of the University of Florida. It was founded in 1923 and is located on the university’s Gainesville, Florida main campus.

Also, the college ranks among the top pharmacy college in the country in placing students into highly competitive pharmacy residency positions, with 145 graduates securing residency positions in 2020. The college of pharmacy grants students the opportunity to extend their research training through entry into M.S. and Ph.D. programs at UF. Tuition and fees for newly admitted Pharm.D. students will be approximately $23,690 annually for Florida residents. This figure is inclusive of tuition, state mandatory fees, and college fees.

A tuition rate of approximately $36,000 annually is offered to non-Florida resident students. Annual tuition and fees cover the tuition for experiential courses (e.g. IPPE, APPE) in the summer semester.

These figures may vary based on campus location due to fees that vary by campus (e.g. transportation fee, health care access fee, and local facility fee).

For newly admitted Pharm.D. students, the UF Office of Admissions determines residency status based on state guidelines.

Note, Dental, Medical, PharmD, Vet. Med., and Phys. Therapy students, and Law JD and LL.M. students admitted are assessed and tuition for the academic year which are payable in two installments (per-term) in the Fall and the Spring.

All Law programs are assessed the appropriate hourly rate in the Summer semester. Master of Public Health Programs’ students is charged tuition and fees for their academic program in four installments across consecutive semesters, beginning with the admission term.

What GPA do you need for pharmacy school?

Is there an on-campus component of the program?

Yes. Students are required to visit campus in Gainesville, Florida to attend a live weekend seminar, and also to take their comprehensive final exam. The seminar and exam are scheduled so that students can complete both requirements during a single, three-day visit (Friday through Sunday).
